Are you always late? Well, Guess you are not the only one huh! This week the two famous CS’s have been trending for being late for a signing of performance contract. Of all the events to be late ,not one of the most important.
Being a cs here in the 254 you have all the rights to have traffic stopped just so you can pass, so how you will be late is somewhat unfathomable by many. Not unless it was essential and lives were at stake but being late to The State house is unacceptable.
Lets get a bit real, one of the Cs’ Latecomers was the very vocal, Moses Kuria. This one must have been a hangover as many Kenyans say. He is the one to cause controversy every single day and so a simple mistake like being late made him have the backlash and wrath of Kenyans. We are not going to spare him any time soon, isn’t it?
The other was our very own CS for interior Kithure Kindiki, well a lot of us were willing to cut some slack for him, he could have been actually engaged on a serious note , his docket is quite critical, so maybe we could turn a blind eye on that one. The president though was not willing to turn a blind eye, all the late comers were asked to give a letter of explanation of why they were late. A meeting that starts at 9 am , you don’t ought to be late, especially ,for someone who holds a big and critical office, for the service of Kenyans, what other job do you have huh!
Coming back to the ground, this is a reality check, how many of us are usually late, for no good reason? It is a bad habit that we as Kenyans have normalized that it’s not attractive at all. Being a leader especially, time keeping is something that describes you. If you are always late then you don’t expect much from your employees.
A big kudos to our President H.E Ruto. A time keeper, a mover,a shaker, a hands-on president. He also gave PS’s and CS’s ultimatums, he should not know more about your docket than you. It is a bit embarrassing when you’re assigned a docket and yet you have no content , no research to present in meetings with the boss.
I am learning a lot, and the president is my mentor at this rate, be the best at what you do and give it your all. Lead as the example and let others follow you, and if they slack you replace them, you can’t have people dragging you down for mere reasons such as lateness. I’m thoroughly impressed and I hope you are too.
