On the 24 of February 2023,The Office of the Spouse to the Prime Cabinet Secretary was launched. It is an office that has brought about so much controversy, netizens cannot keep calm, equal love and hate.
I had the privilege to attend the event and I have to say it felt overwhelming being in the presence of powerful women and men. It was scary yet very inspiring , fear had no place. I very much endorse the idea and the initiative behind it, a good complimentary to the Office of the First Lady and the Spouse to the Deputy President. I mean why not have it?
It is funny, women want to be empowered but when such a platform is created they hate on it rather than support it. Everyday period shame is a trending topic, girls and women are out here suffering, and it is through such initiatives that we get to reach a big number in the rural areas, the least you can do is volunteer and help. Lets look at the bigger picture and be positive.
